About the Festival
The festival is about our community, locally and globally, coming together to explore how we can enjoy sustainable lives that are fun and fulfilling.
The festival is a celebration of all the various things that go together to make our community sustainable. It is also a great opportunity to learn about some of the issues our society faces such as energy generation and use, food production, nature conservation, traditional arts and crafts, sustainable transport, complementary therapy and waste and recycling.
The event has also been officially designated as a Citizen’s Day. A day for the people of Berwick to come together, enjoy themselves and learn about their rights, how things work and how to make them work better. Last year over 2,000 visitors enjoyed a very relaxed and successful event. We are again using the Five Arches Playing Fields which will encompass live music on stage, an archery area, foods and beer tents, an environment marquee with loads to see and do.
